Lynn Morris Contracting

Lynn Morris Contracting (LMC) has been in business in Santa Barbara for over 34 years.  Our experience varies from ground up New Construction, to Remodel / Additions, and Commercial / Institutional projects. In addition to high end custom residential projects LMC also has an extensive background doing Historical Restoration work. We have been performing historical restorations on Casa del Herrero for two decades & we also have the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History as a client. In addition we have performed restoration work on numerous George Washington Smith, Lutah Maria Riggs, and Reginald Johnson designed residences.

Lynn Morris Contracting is particularly known for integrity and high quality results as well as our organizational skills in both scheduling and cost effective management.  Whether you are considering a ground up new residence or a remodel/addition, Lynn Morris Contracting should be at the top of your list of firms to consider.

Three decades ago the decision was made to spend time and effort on customer satisfaction rather than devote resources to advertising.  Word of mouth proved effective as our reputation for quality & integrity spread.  That reputation has been built upon exceeding our clients' expectations, time & time again.  By repeatedly winning business and developing a loyal customer base, LMC has thrived throughout all economic conditions.  By using the same top tier subcontractors & craftsmen as the most expensive builders, but eliminating excessive layers of supervision, plus keeping our overhead in check, we offer extraordinary quality at a more competitive price.

Besides our reputation for fostering a spirit of cooperation within the team of Owner, Architect, & Subcontractors, Lynn Morris Contracting is renowned for consistently completing projects on time.

Lynn Morris

After graduating from UC Santa Barbara, Lynn gained valuable hands on experience working as an apprentice carpenter, journeyman, foreman and supervisor of rough framing and finish carpentry projects.  Through this training he gained valuable structural knowledge as well as exceptional organizational ability.  Lynn became a licensed contractor in 1980, for the first few years specializing in framing high end residences.  He completed his first ground up new residence for Cate School in 1982.  In 1984, at an early point in his career, Lynn successfully completed the construction of the Sand Point Road Beach House pictured (click HERE.) designed by Don Bensen of Kruger Bensen Ziemer Architects.

Lynn continues to personally manage and coordinate construction progress as well as interface with clients.  This layer of personal supervision is included in LMC’s management fee and gives the company a further competitive advantage.
